Use the elevator to Level 4 if you are coming from Terminal 1.

Take the elevator to the Mezzanine - Level 3 if you're coming from Terminals 2 or 3, then cross the passenger sky bridge.

Take the elevator or the stairs to Level 5 if you are coming from Garage Zones D and F.

Take the elevator or stairwell to Level 7 if you're entering from Garages A or G.

Once at your destination, follow the signs for "AirTrain" (they'll be everywhere).

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is a rapid-transit rail system that provides service to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began operation in September 1972 and currently connects the San Francisco Peninsula with East Bay and South Bay communities. In total, BART serves 50 stations over 131 miles of track.

Currently, BART service extends to areas such as Richmond, Millbrae, Antioch, Dublin, and North San Jose. If you're planning on traveling between the International Terminal and the other terminals at San Francisco International Airport, you can use an AirTrain.

BART costs $5.35 one-way or $10.70 round trip to get downtown. Children aged four and under are free with a paying adult. You must bring your ticket when exiting or entering a BART station or train. If you receive a citation, you could face a fine of up to $75.

Clipper Cards

The best way to pay for BART is by using the Clipper Card—a plastic card/digital wallet you can pay for at most BART stations.

Clipper Card is a plastic card that can be used for ride payments on BART and any other public transportation in San Francisco. The card works at any BART station; when you tap your card at one of these machines, it will deduct money from your account balance, then give you a

ticket number to use when you board the train or bus.

The Clipper Card also has an app available on mobile devices that allow riders to pay for their rides with Google Pay and Apple Pay.
